The service was excellent, no complains at all, it was just what we needed. The breakfast selection was superb and marvellous with fresh eggs and western dishes, for example. The location was unbeatable in walking distance in several metro lines.

The location of the hotel was unbeatable - not too far from Marunouchi Building Mall. The queen room that we stayed in was good and convenient.

This was just a fitting option for a weekend jaunt in Tokyo with great value. The pillows were unique but awful, seemed like solid plastic. Bring your own power adapter or you'll have to pay extra for borrowing one.

The Monterey Ginza was the best hotel we stayed at for our two week trip to Japan. With a JR pass the JR line was only 4 minutes away, and the Imperial Palace only 10 minutes away via brisk walking. The room had a great layout, the bathroom was excellent, and there was plenty of room for two people, The location was so excellent that we never had to use a cab.The front desk staff was great at even 4am when they gave us directions (with a map) to the fish market for the Blue Fin Tuna Auction, With a Lawson's and 7-11 right across the street snacks and quick stop drinks were easy and finally; if jet lagged, some of the best window shopping in the world was only 3 minutes away. I would definitely, without a doubt, stay at the Monterey Ginza again.
It would have been nice to have CNN, or one English speaking channel on the TV.

The staff was wonderful, spoke great English, and had good suggestions on what to do in the area. The hotel was also very clean.

Great location for exploring Ginza's shops and restaurants.
Room temperature was uncomfortably warm and hard to adjust.

Location was ok as the metro was near., the ginza line connects to a few of the sights easily.
Room v small but then that's Tokyo

Quirky art deco(?) design features (wood panelling and an analogue floor indicator on the lift) and slightly larger than average room size - still a bit small by global standards, but there are smaller rooms in Tokyo.

Interesting connection with European influence on Tokyo architecture. Different to modern hotels in downtown Tokyo.

The location was excellent.
The room was looking a bit 'tired' and needed a bit of a revamp, although the location was excellent I felt it was slightly expensive for the standard of the room.
